This is an interesting video showing the proper and improper stance when using a high impulse weapon. This video must be outdated because most weapons now days have a built in system to deal with almost all recoil by harboring an internal motion capturing device.
The AA-12 shotgun is a prime example of this with 95% less kick back than late shotgun models.
